Record Breaker: Freddy Funko Batman

As you know, NerdMelon keeps track of 4 collecting categories, Comics, Video Games, Pokemon cards and Funko Pop figures - and the highest sale in each category is displayed on our home page. Last week when we uploaded our weekly auction data, a new Record Breaker appeared. This was for the sale of a SDCC 2012 Freddy Funko Batman (there may be a mistake in the date included in the eBay auction title - see YT video for more). The eBay Buy it Now auction ended on November 14, 2022 with a final sales price of $29,995. This Pop is extremely rare with only 24 in existence. As far as the collectible itself, there is noticeable damage which no doubt affected the price. The corresponding YouTube video includes more images showing corner damage, tape, and water damage.
The previous record was help by another Freddy Funko, the Bloody Leatherface Freddy Funko, which sold in March of 2021 for $20k.
