Spotlight On: WWE Legend Scott Hall
Scott Hall (AKA Razor Ramon) sadly passed away on March 14, 2022. The man was oozing with machismo, notoriously entertaining and likely the best heel in professional wrestling. Today, we take a moment to review Razor's impact on pop-culture with two of his most iconic collectibles.
WWE #1 Scott Hall Variant Cover
We start with an iconic variant cover to WWE #1. BOOM! Studios WWE #1 1:50 Variant Cover by Jamal Campbell from 2017 features Scott Hall/Razor Ramon. This is considered the "THEN" cover, stemming from the WWE catch phrase "NOW, THEN, FOREVER". The other variant covers being the 1:25 "NOW" cover featuring The New Day (art by Rob Guillory) and the hard to find 1:100 "FOREVER" cover featuring Macho Man Randy Savage (art by Oliver Barrett). Unfortunately, Scott Hall doesn't actually make an appearance in this comic, but we're only hear for the cover art which stunningly depicts his Miami-Cuban character traits.
FUNKO POP WWE #47 Razor Ramon
A second piece of pop-culture history is the FUNKO POP WWE #47 Razor Ramon figure. First produced in December 2017, this POP! belongs to a set of 4 featuring The Rock (#46); the ex-WWE strong man, Braun Strowmen (#48); and WWE Diva, Alexa Bliss (#49). This piece was signed by the notorious one himself.
